Cyber Attacks and Viruses

Cyber attackers develop such software to gain access to or cause damage to a computer or network, usually without the victim’s knowledge. The software, known as malware, is often sold on underground sites to other hackers or organized cybercrime groups. As the result, the bad guys can be using malware to manipulate money, especially in the money transfer business.

Criminal gangs sometimes steal the data of a payment system in the form of card, gift or electronic wallets for monetary gain. It happens usually when an anti-theft system is compromised and the criminals can use the stolen card details for fraudulent transactions.

The good news is that people can get rid of malware using online tools. However, this is not a full-proof solution as this method does not prevent the computer from being infected by malware of its own.
